Hitachi Home and Life Solutions India Ltd. (HHLI) has been awarded "Certificate of Merit" at National Energy Conservation Awards Ceremony by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power. The function was held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 14th December, 2011 .

Honourable Union Minister for Power, Shri Sushil kumar Shinde has handed over the award to Mr. Motoo Morimoto (Managing Director - HHLI).

The Function was presided over by the Honourable Prime Minister of India - Dr. Manmohan Singh, Honourable Union Minister of Power - Shri Sushilkumar Shinde, Honourable Union Minister of state for Power - Shri K. C. Venugopal, Secretary Min. of Power - Shri Uma Shankar and Shri Ajay Mathur - Director General BEE.

The function was attended by industry, government officials and Bureau of Energy Efficiency representatives.

HHLI has won the Award based on parameters like the number of star labeled products sold, the energy savings achieved, its technology and the growth in sales of high energy efficient products over the previous financial year.
